By the Sea . . .

This is a musical post to accompany Robert’s nice thread from the East Sea. Linked is an arrangement of
바닷가 애서 (Beside the Sea), sung by Kim Wonjung and arranged by Ronn Branton from the “Halfmoon” album by Kim Wonjung. Though the CD is made up of Korean children’s songs, many of the songs — like this one — show a surprising depth of expression for being mere “children’s songs”.

The picture is from a concert with Ronn Branton (piano), Cho Song Duk (bass) Oh Jong Dae (drums), Kim Dae Won (flute) and Seo Jung Shil (guitar).

    That CD is in stores in Seoul but I believe you can order this through http://www.musicalpark.com. You can contact them and they can handle that (I’m told).

    Actually Daveo, you should call Helen Kim at 019-9349-0650 and she can send you a CD if you would like. The Musical Park site does not seem to have a good link for this CD.
