U.S. lawmakers disagree on Seoul trip

U.S. Republican and Democrat lawmakers are apparently at odds over a recent trip by several Congressmen to Seoul partially sponsored by the Korea Foundation.  Personally, I’m not sure what the big deal is, but I hope they enjoyed their stay.

Sure, it’s probably nothing, but I can see why some people would feel uncomfortable about it.

    You don’t remember “Koreagate”?

They were doing field research to see if their war on prostitution begun in 2002 on Fox News had made any headway at the supply side, because it certainly hasn’t on the demand side.

one of the sacred beliefs of the expat is that all the korean whores in the us are for korean johns. wonder why so many of these adds are in english newspapers. perhaps, it’s for the benefit of the expat when he returns.

    ‘koreagate…’

still nursing that wound or just another weapon to bash your wife’s people? koreagate is over 30 years old.

wow! can you imagine? koreans gotta shut up about the japanese occupation but somebigmouthinkorea can always blabber on and on about that which has long passed. man, the expat never ceases to amaze me with his oh so blatant hypocrisy.

ps i forgot to write this above as a side note:

tired of the same old shit from the same old expat gang? tired of the ‘hate korea brigade’? tired of their dronning?

why not take a look at the western confucian’s blog you can find on the sidebar? you might be surprised by some of the things he writes. my surprise is that he hasnt been villified by the expat posse.

    at least not yet.

it’s nice to see the man can see israel for what it is. btw, we’ll soon be in yet another war on the behalf of yiddish state. the neocon never learns, but then, why should he have to? it ain’t his blood.

    I get it.

Korean hoes are mainly used to serve Jews while they are plotting their next evil moves against the Korean people. Expats are just here to distract the locals from the real threat.

Seriously though pawikirogi, I don’t get your worry here. One guy likes to a story about Americans taking bribes (I am surprised you don’t use that whenever someone talks about local corruption.) and the other one pushes the idea that prostitution is cause by American soldiers. I am not sure why you don’t love the stuff.

here we go again; anybody who is not an avid supporter of israel is a nazi. do i have that correct? that ain’t gonna work with me. that’s the standard ploy of those who cannot tolerate criticism of the yiddish state. just look what’s happening to carter right now for simply telling the truth.

    )))))

    1. israel practices apartheid.

    2. while crying foul about suicide bombers killing little israeli children, israel thinks nothing about firing missiles into palestinian neighborhoods often killing children in the process. the us never condemns these actions buying the line that israel has a right to kill infants, women, and children.

    3. what do we get for three billion a year? we get three thousand dead and three thousand dead.

    4. maybe if israel stopped stealing palestinian land, they wouldn’t get their buses blown up.

    5. israel pushed for this war in iraq. now israel is pushing for war with iran.

    6. 90%? what does this 90% look like? wow, 90% look like swiss cheese. don’t look like a country to me. look more like large enclosures.

    7. jews onced lived in ghettos. now, they create them.

    8. our policy towards israel is at the expense of billions of muslims. does that make sense?

    9. our goal in the ME should be to create a situation in which the local population does not support nor condone terrorism. to that end, we must show the arab world that we are fair players when it comes to the issue of arab and jew. in fact, just doing that would go a long way in laying down the foundation of mutual respect.

    )))))))

yeah, i know what the official languge of israel is. it’s interesting how similar hebrew is to arabic.

“it’s interesting how similar hebrew is to arabic.” That would be because they are both Semitic languages, Einstein.

Your numbered points are all just caricatures of reality and don’t merit refuting (what the hell is a “Yiddish state” anyway?), so I’ll just point out how absurd it is that you are a reactionary bigot when it comes to all things Korean, then turn into a faux-liberal bigot when it comes to Israel.

It doesn’t matter whether “we” are “fair players when it comes to the issue of arab and jew” when subjugation of Jews (and Christians) is written into the Koran as a command.

The Israelis are hardly blameless in their foreign policy but at least they don’t routinely call for wiping out other states as the president of Iran does.

    Pawi,

Not only is the “yiddish state” a highly inaccurate term in a linguistic sense, it doesn’t give your arguments any more strength. Don’t know what point your trying to make with the Arabic/Hebrew comparison. Should linguistic similarities between Korean and Japanese somehow have some relevance to Dokto, the East Sea/Sea of Japan, or larger northeast Asian issues? Am I missing something?

    Hi Pawi:

While I have always been complaining about Korean racism it is news to me that there is also a link to anti-semitism à la “Yiddish State” which I deem to be a racist expression. An abbsolute no-no for a humble German like me…

    Bullshit, Pawi,

as has been said above before in this thread it is the aim of the Palestinian élite to wipe the state of Israel of the map - no matter what the US or anybody else might do to bribe them into not doing so.

But I know, the Koreans, not the Jews, were the nation most affected by the atrocities of the German-Japanese alliance. Sure they were…

Not that it matters, but btw, although I there is nothing wrong with the great nation on the peninsula between Asia and Africa, I still wonder how Pawi managed to change his flag to “Saudi-Arabia” in a couple of his recent comments in another thread of this blog (sorry, I do not manage to find it right now…). Was that just coincidence or supposed to be a political demonstration ?
