Yummy… Cheonggyecheon….

Pic was taken by Newsis at the “Yummy, Yummy! It’s Yummy! Cookie Discovery” exhibition (don’t laugh—that was apparently the official English name, which as goofy as it might sound is not nearly as frightening as the possible implications of its original Korean name—”Yummy, Yummy, Yummy! Cookie Architecture–Nature, Architecture and the Future”) in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do.

Well, I think it’s a fitting name given that their target audience must be kids.
Oh, and using multicoloured candies wrapped in silvery cellophane (like the ones we find in any gift shop in South Korea) to make the water was a brilliant idea.

Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies…

In a pinch Walker’s Shortbreads make a fine (and tasty) substitute for Lincoln Logs.

Zonath, that line sounds familiar. Where is it from?

It’s from Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, a famous old tune popularized by William Shatner. ;)
