Lets hope their visa’s are in order.
. . . not to worry; the promoter is quite professional.
Are ticket prices listed? I couldn’t find them. I do like the set list, if that’s what it is, many standards, including old ones.
I’m not so sure I like the sound in the place. I went to see Branford Marsalis’ group there last year and the sound up in the balcony was mediocre at best. I could hardly hear the piano and Branford’s sound was a bit thin and the overall sound was kind of boomy. I should have sprung for the pricier main floor seats.
Snow, here is the dope: for piano, you want to buy a seat towards the back, center on the first floor or the front of the second floor. The acoustics in the SAC are not very uniform in sound quality, thus one needs to know which seats offer the best acoustics for different types of concerts.
Another problem was that the sound crew that Seoul Arts Center management used for Branford were amateurs, thus the lousy sound. Marcus has a much better sound crew — thanks to the promoter.
Ticket prices are 100,000, 90,000, 70,000, 50,000 and 30,000 won. Here are some links for tickets:
