Using KBS as the propaganda service for the Blue House started at least since General/President Park Chung Hee. It exists till this day, because even Park's enemies found it oh-so-convenient. These days, people who used to watch KBS religiously and believe everything it said are saying this is bullshit. That's fun to observe.

I think Roh Moo Hyun recently wrote a letter to all employees of the government to watch more KBS.

Chosun ilbo is conservative and very pro Kyong Sang Do. That can't be hidden. And it's their freedom and right to do so. Whoever has a beef with either will not like Chosun ilbo. If you just went by Chosun, you'd think the next President is surely Park Geun Hyae.

I prefer Lee Myung Bak by a clear margin.

Oh, and even sadder thing is that the only non-radical party left in Korea is the GNP, a pathetically irresponsible, incompetent and hopeless party.

Despite all the talks about how popular GNP is these days, I can't help but fear that GNP will helplessly lose the election due to its lack of clear vision and its image as a 'well-being party', meaning that GNP takes no risk whatsoever in order to preserve its current support.

All the bashing Roh throws at media is actually very laughable when the most influential media in Korea right now is KBS, the "national broadcaster" which has staunchly been supporting Roh for years.

It is sad many young Koreans are buying the whole 'Chosun Ilbo is evil' shit, vindicating all of Roh's faults on accounts that the media are hampering national interests.

I say throw that ugly frog out of the Blue House.

And, am I the only one who suspects that Roh criticizing and picking fights with Keuntae and Dongyoung is an agreed plan of all three of them to separate the last two in the public mind with the disasterous Roh presidency?

Smart politics for the GNP would be prefacing every mention of Keuntae or Dongyoung's name with "former Roh cabinet minister", reinforcing the link between them.

If the Americans were canny, they would restrict everyone to base from about March to election time in December. And reduce vehicle conveys to the minimum possible. You think with Uri pups like Keuntae and Dongyoung running at 6% popularity, there isn't the desperation and temptation to stage an accident, a fight, or whatever to try and play the Korean victim-hood card?

Think it's too far out there? Maybe. But I remember reading here last week that pro-Pyongyang teachers unions were taking schoolboys to Chiri-san red guerrilla memorials and holding pledges of allegiance to reunification. I remember the quote of one boy "I was overwhelmed, and dedicate my life to (this)".

Having such schoolboy or boys with a bottle of soju put in them and convinced by their seniors that they must throw themselves in front of an American vehicle "for reunification" unthinkable? Having university students similarly hopped out on booze and anti-foreign frenzy going the clubs of Hongdae or Itaewon with a cameraman in tow behind to start an incident?

No. Improbable, but in Korea possible. There's going to be increasing desperation on the left, and these are nasty, nasty people "any means to an end" people here in Korea.

Don't give them any excuse.

"I think this sort of record and nonsense will nullify any attempt to harness SMS text messaging and the internet like Nosomo did in 2002, to elect Roh. Most people will be understandably distrustful of it." Yeah--the "nutizens" were rallied, and this is what they came up with.

Many people, including me, are questioning his mental state. He looks vengeful and harsh on TV. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder.

A president cannot behave and talk like a hoodlum.

Lord -- instead of Roh's party chanting "five-more-years", they sigh "twelve-more-months".
