GTA and Neil Diamond

Daily Life Notes: a) The more I play GTA: San Andreas, the more I’m convinced it’s the most brilliant game ever produced; b) I’ve got Neil Diamond’s “Solitary Man” stuck in my head. Must be the trombones.

Give ‘Scarface’ a try if you like GTA.

    Yea, GTA: San Andreas rocks!

One of my friends chastised me for playing such a violent game, but really, how can anyone deny the fun in it?

I suppose you found the Hot Coffee scenes? They had references to sex scenes in teh original two games, so I figured it was only a matter of time until they showed the actual thing

Actually, Dogbertt, I’m playing it on the PC.

You can’t. The game is pure genius. And any game with Ice T and James Woods voice acting has to be good.

And lastly, no, I haven’t found the Hot Coffee scenes.

Robert, at least you have a game to blame if you ever smoke someone in a drive-by shooting. “Computer games made me do it” is the 21st century version of the medieval “the devil made me do it”.

And to think I almost pulled out my MAC-10 and started spraying pedestrians as I was taking the bus to work this morning…

Don’t tell me you’ve never been tempted.

Anyhoo, get back on your 360 and some BF2:MC so I can frag you :)

I wonder if I am the only Canadian who read the title of the post quickly and wondered, “Why is Robert talking about a Neil Diamond concert in Toronto?”

GTA is Candian-ese for Greater Toronto Area, which means the city and all the little bedroom communities around it.

I just Googled “GTA” and links to the game rate higher than ones for the city in Canada.

I’m sure this says nothing about the country and its biggest city’s place in the world.

I expect that more people would associate it with Grindleswamp Transit Authority than would with Toronto.
