I saw a halter top on sale in a subway mall that said "Juicy 69." I had to use a razor blade to remove a frigging emblem from a jacket my wife bought for my daughter because it was a shield with "Star 69" in the center.

What's with this Korean fetish for labeling everything with 69? Is this some sort of gyopo marketing joke to make fun of the colloquial naiveté of their countrymen with respect to English slang, or is it merely the artistic expression of the Freudian desires lurking within the Korean psyche?

Let's not forget the high salt, railway. You could float a cannonball in a bucket of doenjang jjige. Never mind how healthy Korean food can conceivably be prepared - the actual Korean diet has to be one of the least healthy in Asia.

This is interesting but not cosmic. Young Koreans are relatively healthy. It is not until they age a bit that the lifestyle catches up with them. Cancer of the stomach, stroke, etc… All the hallmarks of a high alcohol, fat, and carcinogen diet, is it any wonder? Couple that with forced retirements and the prospect of spending the rest of your days with an Ajumma that someone else thought you should marry. When people in Korea are young, they can frolic to their hearts content, screw, drink, and socialize to their business hearts delight. Life ends when the career does.
