You gotta take the article with a grain of salt. He claiming she likes Bi's music is kind of like a rock band mentioning the local hangout between songs to rile up the crowd.

michael, I have a lot of respect for Park Jin-young for standing up to those who critisized him for releasing songs that were about sexing up his wife (he said something along the lines of, "I'm a grown man and I love having sex with my wife. It's only natural that I write songs that celebrate that.")

Well... :) I met Park a few years ago -- that man can swear! Maybe in the back of his mind he knows he's producing really weak fake hip-hop for Korea since he hangs with actual American hip-hop guys. But he's making a lot of money doing it.

Park Jin-young has been doing a great job developing pop stars for this market

Now that you mention it, the sight of Park Jin-young prancing around the USA thinking he's a big time hip-hop producer is a bit annoying.

Maybe, the Department of Homeland Security can do us all a favor and deport him to Korea.

That's all basically true...except if "Pi" or whatever he calls himself is Korean culture, god help us. It was amusing to see Britney Spears in a hanbok when she was here, though.

The music industry here is just a well-oiled machine, isn't it? This Pee fellow is very bland, although the Korean market isn't too demanding in the first place. They prefer watered-down Korean versions of Western genre music, and Park Jin-young has been doing a great job developing pop stars for this market.

It doesn't seem like the propaganda will end anytime soon--there's no really independent media here (and no, no, no, ohmynews is no different than the Hankie and Chosun in uri nara myopia).

Actually I don't. But a typically nationalistic Korean who believes that Korean culture is superior and wants to show that foreigners are accepting and liking Korean culture and/or a Rain fan might.

Also, will we see the day when Korean media will start acting like news outlets and not be propaganda machines for Korea. Inc?
