But unfortunately, legalizing prostitution won’t keep away the perverts.

Many of the “perverted” acts on the list are in fact violence against women, predicated on the fact that they are vulnerable since their profession is unlawful. Legalization of prostitution takes away the sword of Damocles — if you complain about what horrid thing I’ve done to you, you will suffer legal consequences — and that would do wonders to shape up the behavior of the clients.

Well, in regards to the efforts of government to stop or curtail this I don’t think it has anything to do with government. It’s society that allows it and fosters it and furthers it through government corruption. That’s what democracy is and so far the democracy here has said that it isn’t important enough to enough people to change it. Same shit in the S+tates and in Europe and in Japan. If people wanted it changed it would be, but it ain’t changing so, guess what?

As far as the condom thing, once enough Korean men have a catheter shoved up their pecker to unclog the pipes or go a couple days feeling like a fire erupts every time you piss, they’ll start double-bagging that shit of their own volition. Or, just show pictures in high school classes of men with gential worts; that’ll work wonders as a scare tactic.

The article is talking about Korean authorities’ power harrassment, but you can’t help but move into “this is Japan’s influence/fault” stream, can you.
Why can’t you just face the fact that your (ethnic) country is messed up in places and condemn it for what it is, instead of blaming others?

Leaning on that comfortable “Japan’s fault” crtuch won’t get your country in better shape. The dads and brothers of Korea need to wake up!
