While we’re discussing film today, let me say that Ryoo Seung-wan’s “City of Violence” (”Jjakpae”) rocks.
No real plot. Just two guys kicking a whole lot of ass from start to finish. And I liked the grainy cinematography and the beautifully directed final sequence—feel free to make your “Kill Bill” comparisons in the comment section.
Definitely worth a rent. Or heck, buy the DVD. Did I mention you could order it through Seoul Selection? I could have sworn I did…

I havent seen it yet, but I always thought the poster was pretty kick-ass as well. Dudes in suits kicking faces rock.
Yes it is true Korean version of “Kill Bill”…The joy would be doubled if you do know Choongchung dialect. It was a very interesting for me how this fast action movie well coordinated with slow Choongchung dialect.
