(MUST READ) No Good Options by Andrei Lankov

The good doctor was kind enough to post his op-ed in the WSJ over at NKZone:

For years, the U.S. and other nations have warned in the most unequivocal terms that they would never tolerate North Korea’s possession of nuclear weapons. But now that Pyongyang has announced that it has conducted a nuclear test, the options for dealing with this newly proclaimed nuclear power remain as unattractive as ever.

Be ABSOLUTELY sure to read it.

Dr. Lankov was also interviewed yesterday by the Korea Herald on how China’s history initiatives were part of Beijing’s preparations for a post-North Korea future. I’d link to the story if the Korea Herald site were working. Which it’s not.

I read the article, and it was good. Shorter than I might have expected, though, so I didn’t get the full Lankov Experience (TM).
