Yesterday the Marmot asked me to go off to this conference and make an attempt to live blog the thing. I decided why not and I end up a conference held by the World and Northeast Asia Peace Forum.
I am here at the opening and met one of the marquee panelist, former White House Chief of Staff Andy Card. Funny to see a man that well known wander around as lost as me. I made my intro, but soon he had to give his speech. Which in case you were wondering boiled down to two points:
1. ROK has a role in the War on Terror (what he did not say)
2. FTA…Good (no insight on the problems)

Quick shout to the Shilla Hotel holding this shin-dig. What F-ing special olympics participant decided to take out the ATM out of the hotel? Now to get cash you not only have to make the round trip up and down the hill but also grope around for a bank since there are no obvious ones in the area.

Actually, it was a stroke of genius. The Shilla would expect it’s patrons to withdraw cash from using their credit card at the service desk and pay the exorbitant charge.
