Hmm...it looks like my Symantec Firewall is blocking the banner image from loading. I only got to see the banner after disabling it.

The banner image serves as the link to the main page. Give it a try.

And I'll see about making the blog title more prominent.

I can't find on this template any link to the main page of the Marmot's Hole. I usually access the site through RSS live bookmark links in Firefox which lead to a specific posting. From there I usually click back on the top of the page to get to your other postings.

Please bring back a home page link! Also, I think in general it's good to have the name of your blog in a more prominent position.

The color scheme and nice picture (at top) is really nice Robert. I set my browsers at a decent point size so it all looks good. I'm glad these other guys mentioned the CSS issue because I have need of such too. I really hate Internet Explorer!

I'm glad the current round of musical ventures has turned out much better. Please call or write if you want some more names of journalists who will not drive you crazy.

Dear Marmot,

On another thread—which I can't find in my history (and which I can't locate by searching your archives for my nickname)—I made a complaint about your new theme, remarking about its unreadability.

You asked me about which browser I used—it's Safari.

After your question, I realised that I had set my browser to have font at no less than 14pts, so while I admit some responsibility for my complaint, your last theme was much more generous dealing with bigger fonts.

Unfortunately, even when I set this site to default viewing, it still looks like I am seeing through a nine-level hangover.

I enjoy your site so much, with the exception of the appearances of Shelton Gutbuttoner and the likes... and your "Share and Enjoy" lapel pins... and the stream of completely horrible and forgettable links you include on the right-hand side.

Marmot, please, even if you are a rodent (which I am not so sure that marmots are although I may be mistaken), please bring your site out of its schizophphrenic hell and just deliver the news in a comprehensible format.

so I see that didn't work... but you updated that in the "ul" field, but not the "li" field. (thats the style right below it) It should work regardless in the "ul" field, but it obviously didn't. Putting it in "li" localizes the style to where you want it applied.

Try that and if that doesn't work do this:
<blockquote>
list-style-type: disk !important;
</blockquote>

but keep an eye out for side effects with this last method! It's an override...

Small quibble with the new format--when you click on "last comment" nothing happens. Does look great overall though.

instead of "list-style: disk;"
try "list-style-type: disk;"

and try including it in the "li" field

like this:
<blockquote>
.entrybody li{
	padding-top:1px;
	padding-bottom:1px;
	margin: 0px 0px 15px 10px;
        list-style-type: disk;
}
</blockquote>

other values may be [circle, square, disc]
