If any readers are interested in a free, two-day trip to Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do to take in some of the Jeonju Sori Festival, we [i.e. Seoul Selection] still have quite a few spaces available. If you’d like to go, send an email to Hank Kim at (IMPORTANT: email change) hankinseoul@hotmail.com. Emails must include your full name, nationality, passport number, birth date, sex and phone number.
I understand some of you, unlike me, have actual lives and weekend schedules, but you may wish to give the trip a try anyway. Jeonju is a wonderful town with great food and an even greater tradition in Korean traditional performing arts. You’ll get a chance to spend the night in Jeonju’s Hanok Village as well.
Oh, and if you want to read another review of our “national disgrace” last weekend, check out Sogang University Professor Brother Anthony of Taize’s piece on the Chungju trip in the Korea Times. Sperwer has also posted a review, along with photographs and, I believe, actual sound clips, although the latter do not appear to work on Mozilla/Firefox/Flock.

Brother Anthony is a great guy, and his article is an object lesson in how to write a review: set up a theme, convey a narrative, explain where neccessary.
You got your divine retribution there Mr. Marmot
“Spewer”? Hmmm.
BTW, go here to hear a sound clip of Gang Eun-il’s haegum performance. It works fine in my browser (Firefox); you may have to wait a bit for it to load, because there’s a lot of other media also going on in the front page.
I’d go to Jeonju too but, as you say, other previous appointments. I’m hoping for Seonggwan-sa, though.
Well that didn;t work too well. Heres’ the url again:

A removal of plumed hat, and deep bow to Brother Anthony. His review makes me realize I missed a truly unique experience. Keep up the good work, both of you!
Is “The Marmot” going on this trip and doing autographs?
