First, we got the latest manifestation of Infidel, Left Flank. Mr. Steinberg is always a good read and full of thought-provoking analysis by one of the elders of the Korea expat blogging community.
Next, we have Queen for a Year, which has a ton of interesting pics and life stories by a Canadian English teacher in Korea. There aren’t that many Korean expat blogs written by women, so if you want to get a look at life in Korea for the fairer sex, here you go.
Last, but certainly not least, we have Outside in Korea, maintained by the man behind longtime great Empty Bottle. This is a blog you’ll definitely want to read regularly, and as icing on the cake, it’s got a superfly design.
Remember, if you want some free publicity, and don’t mind getting linked to this doggy weblog, shoot me an email and I’ll try to give you a mention.

Good blogs to read if you want to take a break from all the depressing political and historic stuff about Korea. It’s amazing that there are expats in Korea who aren’t angry and who aren’t being treated like ni*g*rs in 1960’s southern USA.
If expat women are considered queens in Korea, then expat men would be considered kings in Korea likewise. But the comments I read here at Marmot’s Hole don’t seem to reflect that. Why is that?
Because the expat men are considered Dawgs in Korea…
OTT but congrats Sanshin on your recent write up in Salon.
How does Sanshinseon know a word like “dawg”? Props on being up to date!
Jyce…link? ‘Twould be interesting to see a bona fide Koreanist written up in a general-interest publication.
Link here, written by someone who I think is also a journalist here.
Thanks for the link.
