   Michael (#2): sure, Chinese bloggers and everyday folks are, but alas, they don’t (necessarily) speak for the PRC government…. (Unless the fact that those comments are online at all means the censors are tolerating this kind of dialogue.)

   Judging by that first photo, there are North Korean hippies slumming it on the banks of the Yalu River!

   I meant the second photo, the first one in the set of NK photos.

   If Chinese bloggers feel that it’s safe to leave comments criticizing NK, does this mean that the CCP’s mood has palpably changed towards the Norks? Certainly, news stories over the last month or two have been suggesting that even China is getting fed up with Kim’s antics now.

   But I don’t know much about the realities of Chinese blogging, so take what I wrote for what it’s worth, which isn’t much.
