Yes, since these women did not have a Chinese neighbor, their idea on a Chinese is exclusively formed by Hollwood movies and what they heard from their white neighbors (who drew their conclusion from Hollywood movies).

Baduk, the professor will interview white women living in China. Any Hollywood notions of China dissipate quickly into the smoggy air once a foreigner steps off the plane.

Can’t speak for China, but if the reaction from fellow Chinese netizens was even remotely similar to that you see when similar stuff is published in Korean cyberspace, the Stormfront analogy is probably inaccurate.

I haven’t read every comment, but from what I’ve read, there’s more self-criticism of Chinese servile attitudes towards Westerners than angry calls for the head of the offending blogger.
