Screw Disneyland… I’m going to Dokdo!

This year’s Miss Korea contestants visited Dokdo (that’s Takeshima for all you “evil” bloggers out there) on Sunday, where they cheered on the troops (maritime police, actually) and posed with Dokdo “resident” Kim Seong-do (66).

For some odd reason, I feel a snarky comment by a Japanese politician is in the works…

the japanese should send their beauty pageants and have the girls of the two countries mud wrestle for the right to the island. then they have to battle it out every two years.

There’s some more pics on the photo section of the of the Dokdo visit, among other things…

On a somewhat related note, a friend of mine is competing this year- may be visiting the place they’re staying if I can figure out how to get there.
