No, I’m not dead

by Robert Koehler on July 24, 2006

Although after a very late night in Itaewon on Friday, I certainly felt like it.

Anyway, in case you were worrying, I was not swept out to sea by flood waters last week. It was just a remarkably busy stretch at work and I had little energy to do anything else, including blogging.

Anyway, I apologize to my regular (and not so regular) readers for the unannounced absence.

On a positive note, I did manage to figure out over the weekend how to add a banner image to this particular theme.

Glad to see Hamel got you back safely.

So Seoulmilk, which one were you?

there was a guy looking at his laptop in the corner of the bar. i was in the next table, two girls, two guys. when we first entered the bar, we went for the nearest booth seat, but we were told it was reserved. then came some big guy who i assume was a regular there, sitting there. i wouldn’t have noticed but the guy was talking loud. anyway, some other dude showed up and he said something about “my friend, a lawyer, name brendan carr, cannot make it.” i just thought that name sounded familiar but didn’t think much of it until i read this post this morning where robert mentioned he was at itaewon on friday night.

next time, i’ll introduce myself and join you guys. the girls i were with were some freaks of nature.

I don’t remember a laptop nor any “freaks of nature,” but I’m sure that was us, though, along the street side. I showed a bit later myself–one of the “suits.”

I do not believe your story about a late night at Itaewon, Robert. I think you have been moonlighting at the Chosun Ilbo. The following definitely looks like one of your headlines:

“Army Officer Arrested for Fondling Privates”

I could have sworn Robert’s whole site switched to German during the weekend.

Gerry—Wish I could claim credit for that headline. It was rather clever.

Dogbertt—I was playing around with a German-made template. Strangely enough, it was supposed to localize automatically, but never did.
