Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok is feeling particularly talkative.
Yesterday, of course, he noted how the United States had “failed the most” when the North Koreans test launched their missiles.
Well, speaking before the National Assembly’s committee on unification, diplomacy and trade, Lee said he didn’t believe his comments would cause diplomatic friction with Washington. This was in response to castigation by an Uri Party lawmaker who told him that as a non-expert on foreign affairs, he needed to keep his mouth shut to avoid causing unnecessary friction with the United States.
Lee also said at the committee meeting that he opposed turning the six-party talks into an East Asian Helsinki Accords, as suggested by some in the United States. He noted that many people understand the Helsinki Accords as a precondition for regime transformation , and in this regard, it was unlikely to be effective with North Korea. And at any rate, he noted, the problem was with precisely who in the United States was suggesting the arrangement. In particular, the figures that have raised the “East Asian Helsinki Accords” idea are often the same who discuss regime transformation for North Korea, he said.

The Uri Party and their “people’s participatory government” that criticizes any attempt to let North Koreans participate in making their own government….
Anyway, the unifiction minister should worry a little more about N.K. being absorbed by China:

“…US failed the most.”
Works for me. Perfect reason for the US to pull all troops out of this country and washing their hands of it…
I find it interesting how a Korean man can set a fire in a lodging house, killing, what, 8 people, yet an ACCIDENTAL killing of 2 middle school girls turned into a raging hate-fest. Where are the candle light protests over those killed in the fire?? Where were the candle light protests with the Daegu subway fire??
Oh, I forgot, it’s okay for Koreans to kill Koreans…. especially if they are under stress…. or drunk.
Or best yet, as in the lodging house arson, feeling rejected by one’s mistress.
Yes, the hypocrisy is amazing. It may as well be the national currency.
Check out this photo of the arson suspect, still clutching his lighter(!):

Maybe if Korean men didn’t smoke so much, they’d be less likely to start fires.
Yes, I can see the North eventually being ‘controlled’ by China, meaning no hope of reunification. As the Uri idiots continue to take swipes at the only friends they have-the US-and continue to damage a relationship with an effective ‘ally’-Japan- they have a blind spot for China. China will gain greater influence over the North and there won’t be a damn thing the South can do about it, especially if it’s completey hauled the US-ROK alliance to the dumpster by then.
Yes, the Daegu fire had me shocked and pissed off at the incompetence that caused many more deaths than should have happened. To me, that was far more shocking than the two little girls getting run over by the tank. Accidents do happen, but incompetence and negligence were such huge contributors to the astonishing death toll in Daegu shortly after.
“Oh, I forgot, it’s okay for Koreans to kill Koreans…. especially if they are under stress…. or drunk.”
No, it’s not OK. That’s why the arsonist was arrested and will be tried. The appropriate level of punishment will be another story, but at least he will be punished.
Roh and his cabinet members who have been mouthing off over the missile issue remind me of nobody more than …… Mahatir_Fan. I wish I were joking.
This story is just one example of Korea’s hard turn to the left toward Communism.

It is no surprise Korea is increasingly being isolated from the free world.
Why try and fight centuries of tradition?
I wouldn’t exact punishment from what one Uri idiot has said.
It still hasn’t dawned on these idiots that their mouth is their worst enemy, unfortunately like Clinton, these idiots just cant help themselves. America is like that shinny little princess before a child molester. They cannot keep their hand off her from abuse knowing it would land them in jail every time. Hopefully, it will be a third and final strike for these idiots.
Well just remember that Liberals’ big mouths are their worst enemy. Just look at what Hollyweird has done for the Republican Party. I say put lots of microphones in front of these idiots face and let them keep talking come next election.
At this rate GNP should sweep into office.
