That was a stunning match. It was 0-0 right up until almost the end of extra time, so I thought I could wait a bit then watch the inevitable penalty shots. I missed both goals! What a stunner.

So it’s Italy vs France or Italy vs Portugal. That’s it. We’re almost there.

Fantastic match! Perhaps the best match I’ve seen in the WC06 so far. I really wanted Germany to win and went into a state of shock when Grosso scored at the 119th minute, and was heart-broken when the second goal was scored a minute later. But I gotta admit, the Italians deserved to win overall; they’re defense was superb and they made better chances at goal.

Oh, and nice to see you’re still around, Sugar Shin. Arghhhh, three cheers to meine deutschen Freunde. Sie haben gut gekämpft!

And now, I am all for Les Bleues! VIVE LA FRANCE!!

Wow, I was stunned but also stunned a little bit by how little the boys in blue flopped. There was a bit of it out there (some of which was too funny to watch) but they played through a lot of stuff they would normally suck their thumbs over. Hats off to Buffon and Cannavaro though, their defense has been stalwart throughout the tourni.

Anyone have any predictions as of yet on Player of the Tourni? Still early, I know, but if Zidane has another game tonight like his last I may have to put my money on him. Otherwise my choice now would be between defenders Sagnol or Cannavaro (or Buffon who I think has a good chance at it right now).

That was amazing. TWO goals within one minute! I was preparing myself for another penalty kicks series, and there you go, the Eye-talians put two goals, after making us wait two hours… Unbelievable! Most of the guys who played will be demoted to 3rd Division or lower, if the Italian prosecutor has its way [ask Google about footy+Italy+scandal], so there musta been some serious motivation…

Screw the rocketman in the North… right now, I wanna vomit. The damn Italians won the match in the 118. minute. That hurts badly.
A WC final with Italy and Portugal (2nd most hated team on my list) would be a catastrophe for me. Now I root for France. Kick them flopping pricks from the planet!
