So, I take it you don’t like the U-2s, then?

North Korea’s latest threat to unleash an “annihilating” nuclear strike on the United States if pre-emptively attacked appears to have gotten the foreign media’s attention (in Korean here). Odd thing is if you read the KCNA piece, it’s mostly bitching about the deployment of U-2 S Block 20 recon aircraft to Osan.

    Must be a slow news day at the AP Asian desk. After all, North Korea threatens the USA, South Korea, and/or Japan with destruction at least twice a week. Chuck this one in the ‘news that isn’t anything new’ bin.

    Actually, it is new that North Korea would threaten a nuclear war at its own initiation, rather than in just general terms that it might occur.
