Former SNU professor and disgraced cloning clown Hwang Woo-suk plans to restart his research next month, his lawyer said today.
According to his attorney, Hwang has already secured sufficient funds to open a new research center in Seoul in early July.
The lawyer said, “Dr. Hwang believes the only way to earn the forgiveness of the people and restore his honor is to attain results by restarting research… In order to avoid misunderstandings, Hwang is very carefully pushing his plans.”
He also said, “In the new research center, Hwang plans to retry human stem cell cloning research with some of his former SNU colleagues, but he is worrying whether he’ll be able to secure enough eggs for research.”
Don’t worry, Dr. Hwang… I’m sure some of these ladies will pony up an egg or two.
That is to say, if he’s allowed to do any studies at all. According to AP/Newsis, the Ministry of Health and Welfare canceled Hwang’s research license and has forbidden the cloning of human stem cells and the donation of eggs, so how he’ll get back to doing his old work is not entirely clear.

What a loser… do the scientific community a favor and stay retired, err fired.

So, what is the Great Whang going to research? How about “How to lie, cheat and steal public money and stay our of jail?’
That does not strike me as anything new in Korea.
I’m only waiting for baduk to check in with the talking cat . . .
Does he still have his vet license?
How about suicide? Hanging yourself naked from the rooftop of a cow barn, you shameless peice of shit?! No. Can’t believe, that Hwang is still alive and breathing…
Maybe he can go work on the Island of Dr. Moreau.
I’m just sort of curious how he secured enough funds to do any new research. With absolutely no credibility anywhere anymore, who’d fund him?
Zonath: Raelians. Or Michael Jackson.
“I’m just sort of curious how he secured enough funds to do any new research. With absolutely no credibility anywhere anymore, who’d fund him?”
Koreans are so blindly ignorant that I have no doubt there is a train of people looking to give this idiot money to “continue” his research. He had a group of buddhist monks (where the hell did they get cash from?) ready to give him millions of Won a few months ago.
Hey you retarded Koreans, he never did any research in the first place! He stole all the money!
“…so how he’ll get back to doing his old work is not entirely clear.”
It’s perfectly clear Marmot. There never was any “work” and all he’ll do is steal these stupid investors money too.
I looked Hwang up on the internet and the scientific community does have a word for him:
Oviraptor
(o-vee-RAP-tor) Meaning: egg thief Teeth: a beak, two small teeth
Length: 1.8 meters (6 feet) Food: eggs, friuts, and shellfish
Height: 0.8 meters ( 2.6feet) How it walked: walked on two legs
Weight: 20 kilograms (44 pounds) Period: Cretaceous
Type of feeder: plant and animals (omnivore) Other facts: Parrotlike head with strong jaws that could crush hard objects.
Read MORE! the story is amazing!

I’m with you on that one Michael. The only way for Hwang to recapture his lost honour and standing in the int’l community would be to take a page out of the estimable Dr. Demikhov’s book and start producing two-headed puppies. SNUppies?
Or he could just go back to spaying cats.
This guy is my friggin’ hero. Again 2005 Dr. Hwang! Serve Korea up for more ridicule.
And here I thought the Clonemeister was under indictment for fraud. What are we missing here?
And I’m sure Nature and Science will be battling each other to be the first to publish his next batch of research. Just when you think this place can’t get any weirder…
“What are we missing here?”
You’re missing this important information.
“the Ministry of Health and Welfare canceled Hwang’s research license and has forbidden the cloning of human stem cells and the donation of eggs”
And some Europeans complain bankruptcy status is too easy to acquire in America. Is this the South Korean equivalent of encouraging education through error?
The more important question is, will any reputable publication or institution outside of South Korea ever trust Hwang and his team (including his American collaborators) again?
If he comes back and does an infomercial all his credibility will be restored. As we all know, if its on TV it’s scientifically proven. You boys and girls don’t sleep with a fan running in your rooms during our sultry evenings.
