Thank God for that.

Now I can get back to regular posting.

What you meant to say (but didn’t) was: “The world cup is over as far as South Koreans are concerned.” I’m curious if the TV stations will go on with their coverage?

I’m curious if the TV stations will go on with their coverage?

I’m pretty sure Australia’s matches will still be shown.

I’m guessing — but I’m not betting the farm or the apartment — that other, non-Korea-related matches will be shown with about as much frequency as they were prior to Korea’s exit.

They played most games in ’98 even after the Korea bowed out early

The remaining games will be televised. Koreans are not nationalistic yahoos. Korean people genuinely love soccer.

Each has their own favorite team- Brazil, Germany, Spain, Argentina, England, etc. I hope Swiss to go far. Maybe even to top four; that will make Korea look good.

Ghana is also my favorite. I want an African team to win the Cup. That will make new history.

“Korean people genuinely love soccer.”

Just not K-league.

Moronic quote of the day:

Koreans are not nationalistic yahoos.

Well, from talking to some of the poor simple folk back home I’m not sure the US even realized there was a World Cup going on. At least 4 people I’ve spoken to in the last week were surprised to hear that I was following the Cup instead of NBA or NHL finals. Poor saps. What’s really funny though is they all asked me if South Korea had its own football team…That was really rich! I guess the world doesn’t revolve around football for everyone.
