I also wonder what are the recruiting criteria of US armed forces. Do they have any screening procedure or do they any sort of teach out programs?

Well, although the standards have dropped somewhat due to the need for more recruits, I believe a high school diploma or equivalent is still needed, as well as no history of mental illness or developmental disorders. Although hearing about some of the shenanigans being pulled by USFK, it makes me wonder whether the US Army shouldn't be raising the bar just a little.

Here's an idea... instead of giving these idiots administrative discharges or other slaps on the wrists for this kind of behavior, send them to Iraq or Afghanistan. Why inflict our allies with fools like this when we have perfectly good enemies out there?

I, personally, do believe that 90% or more of military personals are very decent professional soldiers who serve with honor and dignity. And they would be extremely displeased by these guys behavior.

Seems like these guys don't know where they are stationed. They stationed in foreign soil representing their country. They simply get more attention. I also wonder what are the recruiting criteria of US armed forces. Do they have any screening procedure or do they any sort of teach out programs?

Sadly, they will describe Korea or any other country they stationed with their limited view, experience to friends and families somewhere in Oklahoma, S Dakota, Louisiana or Missouri. And their stories will lead hometown folks to have wrong stereotype of other country.

Fooling themselves and their country is not illegal. Their behavior will result in a lifetime of missed opportunities to meet wonderful people and fully enjoy the culture and good times.

If he hadn't beat up the taxi driver, this would have been a funny story. I hope the taxi driver is ok.

Attacking Korean men by *dragging* them from a taxi?

That is more than a little difficult to believe. That is why these two Korean fellows were fined a couple thousand dollars in fines.
