Plastic surgery is fine as long as its money well spent.

If Kim Tae Hee has had surgery then good on ya lassie! Though in her before photo she still has the same basic \”look\”. Facial symmetry and proportion is a large part of the appearance of beauty (the feeling that you can\’t add anything or take anything away).

Some of them look a bit daggy in the before photos… It\’s pretty obvious some money has been spent. Some students told me they had the double eyelid surgery done as high school graduation presents… looked alright. My gfs had it done and her eye stays open just a little when she sleeps. A bit unnerving actually.

I think Lee Young-ae is to Korea as Drew Barrymore is to the U.S. Both are cute in a homely type of way. I mean in Tae-jang-gum she was all a-ju-ma. And as for the whether these are real or not, they may not have had surgery before they started their careers, there are several things these people do to stay popular which involve scalpels, various beds, and various bribes. Nobody stays up there without them…

Re. Lee Young-ae. I’ve seen her in some Hong Kong infotainment shows and she does look pretty ugly but she is indeed a big part of the Korean wave. However, I would say that it is WAY more likely that it is not the men, but the women who find her attractive–the key being in a non-threatening, homely way.

I always thought she looked hot in Lady Vengeance… especially in that black outfit.
