I’d heard that ballerinas’ feet get pretty messed up, but I didn’t realize how messed up until I saw a photo of the feet of Stuttgart Ballet principal dancer Kang Sue-jin.

Eeewwwhhh!!!
This reminds me of that scene in Shallow Hal, where Jason Alexander dumps his hot girlfriend because her second toe is bigger than her big toe. This woman’s feet are a bit more extreme though.
Sweet mother of f*ck. That’s really her feet?? Such a pretty girl, too… ouch. How does it get that bad? Better yet, what kind of crazy ass would let it get that bad?!
Our feet were not designed for prancing about on our toes.
yeah, I guess for as much practice these people have to do… yikes…
What amazing dedication.
Robert, your link to Kang Sue-jin is incorrect.
She’s briefly mentioned in the article, for having won an award in 1999.
I can’t imagine how she could fit those into a pair of ballet shoes :0
Link corrected.
Thank you. I was thinking about sending my daughter to ballet lessons. It’ll be violin or piano instead.
I am speechless. I have not seen a pair that bad off ever before.
How can anyone walk, much less dance, on those toes?
My daughter had been in dance since she was three, ballet since seven and on point since twelve. He feet do NOT look anything like that. There is something seriously messed up there.
It’s an old photo, well known in Korea, usually followed by a photo of the beautiful ballerina’s face.
