A Canadian defector speaks!

Kwangdong Brian did a very interesting podcast recently with former compatriot Marcus of An Ex-Canadian in Korea. The two discuss Marcus’ decision to naturalize as a Korean citizen. Nary a properly pronounced diphthong between the two of them :)
Anyway, be sure to give it a listen.

So, how much does a Canadian passport sell for on the blackmarket? :P

What to do? What to do? A Korean girlfriend/wife, that doesn’t want to live in Canada/U.S./Australia/U.K./Japan. Become a Korean! I’m sure he has his own reasons for the decision, but it seems advantageous to remain Canadian (no matter how humiliating it may seem) and simply continue doing visa runs. Korea’s & Canada’s divorce rate is fairly high, and increasing…

I enjoyed listening to his interview. I wish him all the luck and happiness in the world! This is one brave fellow. :)

I wouldn’t welcome him to be Korean.
