A 55-year-old Suwon man is going to jail for stealing some 400 pairs of women’s underwear from clotheslines throughout the Gyeonggi-do town.
Police busted him on March 29 for stealing six pairs of undies between March 22 and March 29. A search of his home, however, turned up about 400 pairs of women’s underwear in boxes and rice containers.
While the suspect acknowledges he stole six pairs of women’s underwear, he claims the other pairs belonged to his live-in girlfriend, and that the differing sizes are because his girlfriend’s figure has changed drastically.
Of course, even if he did steal 400 pairs of panties, he’d still have a long way to go to beat a 50-year-old man in Nagoya, Japan who was recently busted for stealing around 1,700 pairs of women’s undergarments.
