[...] I’m being sarcastic of course but how often have the anti-US groups blamed prostitution in Korea on USFK? Well read this in depth post from the Marmot’s Hole about the current state of prostitution in Korea. It is quite amazing the lengths the prostitution industry in Korea is willing to go to stay in business and no where in the article was USFK even mentioned. [...]

[...] India, domestically has a much wider variety of pristine beaches and mountains than Korea for significantly cheaper prices so Korea’s natural beauty is not going to draw Indian tourists so what is the KTO counting on then to draw in those extra tourists? I think I have a feeling I know what it is. I could be wrong though, and maybe all those Indian tourists are in fact just heading to Korea to see the wonders of Dokdo? [...]

Women have always been Korea's main cultural asset. Sorry to say, but the culture has provided little else of any enduring value - unless you want to count some quaint architecture painted in the "5-color" scheme. But the biggest draw for Korea has invariably been its strategic location between Japan and China, and the sex appeal of its women.

Now this is by no means a way of belittling Korea in the least. Women are also arguably the future of Korea in the workforce considering the coming baby bust. But it will not be easy for women to give up their pampered princess role and little girlish wiles for maturity and self posession. Only time will tell. The reason women's rights have made little headway is women themselves. It's up to you, ladies.

Well, all I can say is that was a TERRIBLY entertaining and informative article.

Did you translate that? Amazing!

What amazes me is the totally candid style in which it was written. That is GREAT!

I'm still not sure if drug prohibition is the way to stop the drug "problem." (Is there a problem? Perhaps. but certainly not with Hunter S. Thompson and his prodigies.)

I'm still not sure that prohibition of prostitution is the way to stop the sex trade. (Is there a problem? Perhaps in Cambodia, but probably not in Amsterdam.)

But I'm sure of this.

I've got some new information.
