    Whoa, thanks a lot for that pointer, Robert;
    i’d missed hearing about this in advance.
    I am SO there… will make it an R.A.S.
    walking-tour ASAP. Too bad that we still
    can’t continue directly from Inwang-san
    directly over Bugak, but maybe someday…

    You know, last week, I tried to get permission to walk the path the KT in the article above for a piece I was working on. So I called up Cheong Wa Dae, and they told me to talk to the Cultural Properties Administration. So I called them up, and they told me to talk to Capital Defense Headquarters. I called them up, and they gave me the cell phone number of one of the officers of the unit based on the mountain. I called him, and he said he had to talk with his boss, who eventually phoned me back to tell me to talk to the Defense Ministry. At which point I gave up. Luckily, from April 1, this will no longer be an issue. Can’t wait to see how it is.

    Since I’m old, fat, and stuck in Texas for the foreseeable future, can one of you take the tour and post some interesting photos?
