At the risk of starting another potential flame war in my comments section, I direct you to this video (and ensuing conversation) over at Ruminations in Korea.

Came across a rather nifty plugin (two, actually) on the Oz Politics Blog for aggregating and displaying blog feeds on Wordpress. With the plugin, you can turn your blog into one big, happy news feed.
Anyway, if you visit my Korea Blog Aggregator page, you’ll see links to 200 of the most recent posts of [...]

The Jogye-jong, Korea’s largest Buddhist order, has launched an English-language website on Korean Buddhism. It’s an amazing piece of work and I expect it to grow better in the weeks, months and years ahead. It even has its own blog system, an example of which you can see here.

I guess the U.S. shouldn’t count of support from young Koreans if it chooses to attack North Korea’s nuclear facilities:
In the survey of 1,000 youngsters aged between 18 and 23, conducted by The Korea Times and its sister paper the Hankook Ilbo on Feb. 16-19, nearly 48 percent of respondents said that if the U.S. [...]

Over at the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR), Dr. Andrei Lankov discusses the “natural death of Stalinism in North Korea.” Here’s the executive summary:
The last fifteen years have witnessed the gradual wearing away of North Korean Stalinism. The collapse of the centrally planned economy has resulted in the unprecedented revival of small business. The [...]

I’m sure you have all read it, but in case you haven’t, you are strongly encouraged to give ICG NE Asia Director Peter Beck’s piece on North Korea a read. Here’s a money shot if there’s ever been one:
South Korean officials almost never admit it openly, but they are increasingly worried about Beijing’s growing [...]

Yonhap noticed the Detroit News said something bad about Korea:
The new proposed free trade deal with South Korea is also sparking worries.
Levin and his fellow co-chair of the Senate Auto Caucus sent a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Rob Portman saying he is troubled by past efforts to open up South Korea to U.S. autos [...]

I’m not sure what, exactly, Tiny is trying to say here, but it does tie in rather nicely with some groundbreaking recent news.
It would appear the 44-year-old actress Hong Jin-hee’s nude photographs have been unusually popular with women. According to an official from the mobile service providing the photos, men accounted for over 95 [...]

Sorry for the lack of posting. Work got pretty busy, and I’ve been trying to figure out what’s going on with my server.
Anyway, deactivating plugins and going back to the default template had little effect on my resource usage. At this point, I’m at a total loss. My host, Lunarpages, has been [...]

It seems my blog is sucking up too many resources on my server. Why that is, I don’t know, but it may be a buggy plugin. I’ve deactivated all my plugins and activated the default template to see if that makes a difference. As it stands now, my usage looks like this:

Well, this poses an interesting dilemma. Two young Korean men–one holds U.S. citizenship and the other has permanent residency–reach the age when the must report for Korea’s mandatory military service. So in 2004 they do what any patriotic young man would do. They enlist. Except they enlist in the U.S. military. [...]

First we have 44-year-old Hong Jin-hee getting nekkid, and now 24-year-old singer Seong Eun taking it off for the camera. Want UNSAFE FOR WORK pics? OK, this blog has a ton of them (in several posts, no less), or just check out Daum’s image search.
Personally, I think she looks better in a hanbok.

UPDATE: Someone posted the actual nude shots (ripped off from the Sports Seoul) over at a Daum blog. No telling how long they’ll be there before Daum asks that they be removed, so enjoy them while you can. (NOTE: Link corrected). Of course, if you have a Korean citizen number, you can take [...]

I’m not sure if the stealth Visby Class corvette is a capable fighting ship or not. But it looks damn cool. And ultimately, with warships, isn’t that what really matters?
