Former Grand National Party spokeswoman Chun Yu-ok continues to conform to just about every negative stereotype of the Korean ajummah, this time with a speech in Daejeon in which she said former President Kim Dae-jung “looked like a senile old man” when he met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in 2000:
In a speech she gave to the party’s district chapter in Taejon Wednesday, the sharp-tongued former GNP spokeswoman denounced a joint declaration issued after the historic inter-Korean summit between Kim and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in 2000, an Internet news agency BreakNews (www.breaknews.com) reported Thursday.
“Former President Kim practically purchased the joint declaration by wire transferring about $500 million, which he took from companies such as Hyundai, to the North Korean leader,” Chun was quoted as saying. “As if an old man troubled by dementia, the former president was so tense at the airport in Pyongyang.”
Chun also had some nasty things to say about Uri Party chairman Chung Dong-young. To see the original Korean version, click on over to here.
As I mention two years ago, the time will come when her head spins around 360 degrees during a press conference. Mark my words.
Meanwhile, former GNP chief and two-time presidential candidate Lee Hoi-chang slammed DJ for both his 2000 visit to Pyongyang and his planned return trip this June. Lee, it would appear, might be considering another run at Cheong Wa Dae. Personally, I feel that if Lee–who not only lost to Roh in 2002, but lost to Roh sitting on an illegally collected war chest larger than the foreign debts of most Third World nations–were to get elected president, it would confirm that there really is no God. Having said that, last time I checked, Lee was favored over potential GNP nomination competitor Park Geun-hye in Daegu/Gyeongsangbuk-do, which is Park’s home turf. This, however, probably says more about Park than about Lee.

Lee Hoi-chang should stay at home and rest during the next election, as Chung Dong-young advised the elderly.
Sounds like the next election is going to be a circus.
