Yalu to Nakdong’s Korea Blog Aggregator

Came across a rather nifty plugin (two, actually) on the Oz Politics Blog for aggregating and displaying blog feeds on Wordpress. With the plugin, you can turn your blog into one big, happy news feed.

Anyway, if you visit my Korea Blog Aggregator page, you’ll see links to 200 of the most recent posts of (so far) 26 blogs. Those links are updated every 30 minutes (at least in theory). Most of the feeds come from Korean politics blogs (admittedly, most of which are conservative, although not all), along with feeds from a couple of Japan, China and Central Asian blogs that I enjoy. See the list below:

If you’d like for your blog feed to appear in my aggregator, let me know and I may (or may not) add it. Likewise, if I’ve syndicated your weblog and for whatever reason you’d like me to cease and desist, let me know and I’ll remove your feed right away.

I’m working on a Korea news feed as well, although the only two English-language papers I know that have rss feeds for their websites are the Chosun Ilbo and OhMyNews International.

I sometimes blog on Korean topics (and have done so even today), so I offer my humble blog for your consideration.

You’ve got excellent taste. I read Nomad’s, Kushibo’s and Jo’s Asia pages too. Haven’t really had time to play with RSS feeds and what not. Maybe it’s about time.

Drop in by my blog sometime. Cheers.

Dr. Hodges — Your feed has been added.

Vince–Hey, I do drop in on your blog sometimes. It’s been on the blog roll, after all. BTW, I added your feed to the aggie.

Very sweet plugin mate, gonna make keeping up with the goings on ’round the place much easier - thanks.

BTW any plans to put your e-mail contact form back on the site ? … hope that doesn’t sound creepy heh heh.

    Nice work anyway mate.

    peace.

Woops, forgot to activate the e-mail contact plugin. Problem corrected.

Time to add Occidentalism.org. The most recent article there on Dokdo covers something that has not been covered by anyone else in the so-called “Korean blogosphere”.

I might say the same. Give it up already, Marmot’s been ignoring you since forever.

    Time to add Occidentalism.org.

When I saw in the comments list that you had left a note, I assumed it was to say something like that.

You’re chosen role is very clear: the running dogbert of the Imperial apologist. ;)

Nice to see that you don’t ignore me, jyce, don’t know if I could live with that.

    Great phrase, Kushibo!

LOL, Kushibo, that was a pretty good turn of phrase! 95 Thanks to you for making me laugh!

The oddest thing, Robert: one of my posts is listed up there (When is a holiday not a holiday?), but the link that shows up is not to my blog, but to the via-Yahoo AP article that I refer to in my post.

And you know why that is? Because you link your post titles to the pieces. I was going to advise you against doing that, if for no other reason than the aggregator then links to the link rather than your blog.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll avoid doing that in the future.
