USFK has had many Korean-Americans with dual citizenship before that have enlisted in the US Army. It is just that now the Korean authorities are going after them for the first time. I don't see this issue creating a diplomatic dispute unless the Korean authorities arrest and detain the soldiers which I see as unlikely. This is not the first time this has occurred.
