Fair enough, baduk. I’m just curious what the Korean (or Japanese) basis for thinking themselves absolutely superior to every other race is. Prattle about 5000 years of history and court aesthetics just doesn’t do it for me.

And would they really not have a chance? I just don’t see a British MP getting up in the House of Commons and decrying the possibility, in the way that Takeo Hiranuma did. Of course, some people of influence might feel that way in private, but they would never be able to say any such thing in public.

As for the British Royal Family’s personal attitudes towards such things, I have no illusions that it might be unpopular in some quarters within the family as well….

It would also be good politics, given the demographic mix of the UK these days—especially of London. The House of Windsor just doesn’t seem to have any relevance or hold on the popular imagination any more, either in the UK, the Commonwealth, or abroad (e.g., the US). Introducing genuinely new blood—someone from one of the larger visible minorities in the country—into the household might increase the Royal Family’s popularity. (Of course, for the Windsors to maintain any credibility in the long term, it would have to be a genuine relationship between a royal and a “commoner,” not a faux one a la C & D.)

Could the same thing work in Japan? Well, actually, I don’t know that much about how the Imperial Family is seen in Japan, so this is really just a terribly off-topic post….

White people belong to the white advocacy group and the blacks the black group. There are, however, some blacks who were treated nicely by some whites and they think the average whites have no racism. So, he joins the white group.

I stay up at nights thinking about where white people are, in the US and in Europe. Do they have overcome racism as they say that they have? I wonder.

One thing is clear, though. It is definitely getting better. There is a movie out titled “Something New” and it is about the black female - white male relationship. A movie like this could have been the headline even ten years ago, but now almost normal. And, I found several black actresses in the movie are attractive. This is coming from a guy who has never been attracted to a black female.

Things are definitely getting better in racism arena. Internet and movies are bringing people together, educating them about the similarities between different groups and that we are basically made from the same dough.

Anyway, Koreans and Japanese remain blatantly and unapologetically racist. Here’s where I have to agree with nulji that it’s pointless for us white folk to take sides between them.

That particular phrase of mine is actually just some personal twist on a H L Mencken quote where he says that a historian is really an unsuccessful novelist. Just a silly remark, nothing to get worked up about by anyone. I run a blog too and oftentimes I feel I’m being a journalist wannabee.
