A couple of geek notes:
- An update to Wordpress 2.0 is available for download.
- This blog uses as its basic theme Michael Heilemann’s and Chris J. Davis’s “K2″ theme. Beta 2 looks a little better on Firefox than on IE, but then again, what doesn’t? Anyway, it’s a great theme coded to support a lot of cool plugins.
- Speaking of plugins, I use Extended Live Archives, Brian’s Latest Comments, Gravatar, Related Posts, Ultimate Tag Warrior, Ultimate Tag Warrior: Tag Archive, and WP-ContactForm.
- Two plugins, however, deserve special mention. One is Hasse Ramlev Hansen’s K2-picupload, which allows you to manage banner images (including random banner downloads, which I employ here). The other is RandomByte’s FAlbum plugin, which integrates your Flickr photos and photosets into your weblog–see my photo albums to get an idea of what it does. I use version 0.5.6, together with Andreas Linde’s mod to integrate the plugin into the K2 theme.
