    Just think of the technological advances Korea could make if it produced porn that was actually watchable…. The guy from the Korea Institute for Youth Development was right about new technology being spurred by porn, but that’s not unique to Korea–although he did note that photography, video, and the Internet all got a huge boost, so to speak, from providing new ways to distribute porn.

    The bit about Confucianism suppressing sexual desire is also interesting, but did Confucianism even proscribe forms of sexual relationships?

    This was funny: “Hwang noted small gizmos like handsets or personal digital assistants are the perfect fit to meet such unsatisfied sexual desires…” Small gizmos are indeed the perfect fit :)
