Why, oh why, do Muslim extremists hate Norway so? First there was al-Qaeda’s inclusion of the Scandinavian state on its hit-list in 2003. Now, you have insurgent groups in Iraq calling for reprisals against the land of the frozen pizza and Palestinians burning Norwegian flags for something the Danes did.

Poor Norskis. Next thing you know, they’ll be making fun of lutefisk.
As The Big Hominid has pointed out, the towel-heads are upset because the Norwegians have exercised their rights of free speech to republish some satirical cartoons from the Danish press that appeared after the murder by Islamist extremists in The Netherlands of an outspoken descendant of Vincent van Gogh that they find offensive to their delicate sensibilities - you know, the ones they cultivate while sawing through the flesh, muscle, windpipe, blood vessels and bone of an innocent’s neck with a scimitar.
Norway has lots of oil. That’s the only “connection” I can think of.
I see a potential axis in the those Scandanavian states.
Slim:
Can’t be; they’ve got no written pact. Check with Kushibo, the self-annointed arbiter of what does and does not constitute an axis.
I think muslims are using Scandinavia as a red herring.
Here’s a story on the cartoons, with some samples:
