Blogging to resume tonight

In case anyone is wondering why I haven’t been posting, I’ve been busy uploading my old archives (yes, the ones that got lost when I was kicked off my old host) and experimenting with Movable Type, Wordpress 2.0 and Expression Engine.  My archive, as it stands now, amounts to 2,356 posts and 30,263 comments, even after most of the spam comments were weeded out.  Anyway, it took a bit of time and effort (and a lot of help from dda).  Most of the hard work is over, however, so regular blogging should resume from tonight.

Oh, and some of you might have experienced some weird phenomenon earlier in the day.  I was playing around with pointing my domain name to one of my test blogs.  Sorry about that.

I personally think Wordpress is way cool and would recommend that. So easy to use. And free too :)

I’m somewhat biased towards EE since I’ve been using it for almost 2 years. Anyhow I would have to say that it is probably the best blogging/CMS tool out there paid or free. at $99 it’s a bargain.

At US$99 it’s a bargain for sure. But ExpressionEngine “Core” version is now available for free (minus some of the more esoteric modules) — free is a price point that blows away what WordPress does for the same money. Marmot would be completely served by ExpressionEngine Core.

    Robert,

Don’t forget to let me know how things went with the move (if and when you have the time, of course).

I pray for the safe return of the posts and the hasty demise of the comments.

“I pray for the safe return of the posts and the hasty demise of the comments.”
