How old do you think Xiaxue is?
Not sure if grass is growing in the field yet, but the little tramp has certainly been playing some ball.
Yeah, on one level it’s factions of bitchy Singaporean Chinese females acting all junior high (”well, SHE started it…”… “well, she’s ugly…”).
But there’s an interesting subplot to it all, starting with posts by Xiaxue complaining about male foreign workers (read: Bangladeshi) assaulting Chinese women in public over the holidays. While her rivals call her anti-foreign workers racist, there’s more than a little evidence to support her claim that Singapore has a problem with many Bangladeshi males who, for reasons of “cultural differences”, act in ways the local Singaporeans consider loutish. Is it racist if there’s more than a grain of truth to the generalization?
Check out this interview with one Bangladeshi worker who admits to the behaviour:

Anyway, it’s all a bit like last year’s Spectrumgate in Korea. “Those foreign workers are messing with OUR women!!” triggers powerful emotions, anywhere.
I never get any flack for assaulting the flower of han womenhood, I must say its mildly dissappointing.
Xiaxue is in her late 20’s?
