Well, this is certainly noteworthy:
Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft’s lobbying company has been hired by an Israeli aerospace firm competing against Boeing for a South Korean weapons deal, recently disclosed records said.
The lobby filing disclosure program at the Office of Public Records showed Washington-based Ashcroft Group registering Israel Aircraft Industries International (IAI) late last month as its client.
The lobbying firm names three people assigned to the client on "export control issues." Registration papers do not say how much the firm is being paid.
South Korea is looking for a foreign contractor to supply early warning aircrafts, a 2-trillion-won (US$2 billion) deal code-named "E-X project." IAI and Chicago-based Boeing Co. are the two main competitors.

Can you imagine that such a thing would ever be possible in Korea?
Not a problem, all critical Israeli technology is based on US tech, which was given with export controls….The only reason why the untested, incomplete Israeli system is even in the bidding is due to their willingness to transfer the technology, which they just figured out they can’t. This is going to go on for a while.
