Drunk naked H.S. girls raise hell in Suwon police station

UPDATE: Thanks to CCTV, we have video footage of the girls’ Christmas night rampage.  Original reports appear to have been slightly exaggerated, but the video is amusing, none the less.  Thanks a lot, June.

ORIGINAL POST: Kids these days.  Suwon police reportedly had their hands full with two drunk high school girls, including a 16-year-old Miss A, who went ape-ship this Christmas.  Police arrested the pair after they started a fight with a local streetside baked sweet potato salesman selling what they believed to be overpriced tubers.  When police brought them back to the station, the girls put on a clinic in disorderly behavior, cursing at the cops and stripped naked.  Apparently one of them told officers present, "I’m not wearing underwear.  Doesn’t that make you excited?"

Miss A then apparently broke a mirror in the police station bathroom and used one of the shards to slit her wrist.  She was transported to a nearby hospital, but she spent the next three hours destroying property, cursing at the ambulance team and medical personnel, and acting badly in general.

At 10:00 a.m., the two were released to their parents.

Terrible for the police, I’m sure.  But probably more pleasant than drunk Canadian English teachers (cached English version here).

Good thing the drunk Canadians and the drunk High School girls were not taken to the same police station.

These women were obviously hired by Dr. Hwang — no, probably donated their time to him — to serve as a journalistic distraction.

Don’t police stations have video surveillance cameras?

    um…guys? child porn? hello?

We’re talking a sixteen-year-old (the age of consent in some states, though probably not in Korea) high school student, not elementary school students.

That would be underage porn, not child porn.

Not that that makes it okay, you’re right. But just like with the red mahura video, I think someone is going to get a hold of this and put it out on the Internet eventually.

Isn’t attempted suicide a crime in Korea, or are minors not chargable for this?

She destroyed property after slashing her wrists?!? More like lightly slicing the upper layer of the skin.. And what kind of a hospital can’t control a 16 year-old drunk cunt? Two slaps, a straight jacket and a padded room anyone?

The wonderful modern surveilliance technology (aka. CCTV) caught the scene, which is available here:
    http://tvnews.media.daum.net/p.....popular=R7

The original story was exaggerated: the two girls were not naked (although they were nearly topless). Also, those girls were not H.S. students (they were junior high drop-outs). The report also said that the girls consumed 6 bottles of soju before the incident. 3 bottles for each, I guess. Unbelievable…

Thanks, June. It seems like every time I see a scene in a Korean police station on the news, the bad guys are always just seated on a couch near the door. Don’t they have holding cells?

Well, this was awhile back, dogbert, but i think the holding cells are part and parcel with the officer’s desk area, meaning no separation. The whole area is a lock-up and one cop has to open and close the barred gate. When I was there, a friend and his ‘attacker’ (the guy sucker punched my friend in a bar) sat side by side in the cop shop, but at least they’d calmed down by then. It really threw me for a loop when, right after the fight, the cops put both of them together in the back of the police car with no cops in with them.
