Weblogs Awards 2005

It has come to my attention (via my Site Meter) than the Marmot’s Hole is a finalist in the Best Asian Blog category of Wizbang’s annual Weblog Awards.  I’m quite honored, although how this blog became a finalist, I have no clue, because as far as I could tell, it wasn’t even nominated.  And frankly, I can think of several blogs–Registan.net, The Asia Pages (both of whom I nominated), Japundit and Mutant Frog, just to name a few–that were just as deserving, if not more so, but quite surprisingly did not make the cut.

Anyway, regardless of the voting, the annual Weblog Awards are a good opportunity to learn about some of the quality weblogs out there.  So spend some time visiting the finalists’ sites–the blogosphere has been blessed with some very talented writers, and this is the time to gain an appreciation for their work.

That Singapore slag Xiaxue is going to win because bloggers are big fans of juicy girls.

You got my vote, although Xiaxue is cuter than the Marmot.
