While I agree that KJI mut be overthrown, that SK activist is an idiot. (Though I admire his bravery, I don’t think he is terribly bright)
I dunno - what else could Han say? What if Kim had a mic on and put an MP3 on the web of Han saying something less that what he did?
I donno Juan, I actually think it’s a good thing. I think DPRK needs a constant reminder that ROK as a “real” democracy, cannot “shuttup” her citizens as they regularly do in DPRK. Because DPRK constantly constantly just tires me out everytime they more-or-less demand that governments essentially lie on their behalf and suppress information on their behalf. When DPRK goes to the point of demanding that ROK “compromises” some of its values and meet it half-way (and let’s be honest, that’s not what DPRK is about, it’s demanding that ROK goes the full swing left) maybe it’s just not worth meeting DPRK at that half way point.
I think the people of DPRK needs to be constantly reminded that ROK is a democracy. As you may well know only the select few in DPRK will know about this incident.
The US citizens have a free voice. But that does not give them the right to ???????? into the ??????? because they are against Saudi Arabian monarchy.
Similarly the SK activists have the right to voice their thoughts. But that does not give them the right to ?????????? into ??????? and confront the NK personnel.
Is US going half-way when they protect the Saudi Arabian monarch from the protestors?
I do agree that the activists cause are just. But this world does not tick with idealism alone. His actions at the ??????? could really have done damage. (Of course if you are with the crowd that thinks the best way to deal with NK is not through careful talks and coersion but with threats and sticks, you may actually want the damage to happen)
The SK activist made an unnecessary and possibly harming move. (maybe it did have some positive points. Morale for the organization and media attention)
This is the reason I stated, “brave but not necessarily smart.”
