Put or shut up.

put what? i'm not interested in the short term plays.

pharmaceuticals are extremely competitive with huge development cycles and budgets. add to this FDA approval and korea's track record getting drugs to market under FDA, and it just doesn't make sense to put your money in for long-term, secure, stable growth. perhaps you're correct with short-term gains.

your logic for growth is hindsight. it's always 20-20 when looking at sectors after they've grown. given the already volatile nature of the korean stock market, it's not pragmatic for me. good luck.

A blog is a pointless place to have an argument.

1.) i didn't realize we were having an argument.
2.) this is probably one of the best places to have an argument.

Well put your money where your mouth is. I got a 100,000 won that says the pharmaceutical sector of the Korean stock market will outperform the Korean stock market as a whole in a 6 month period.

Your friends who 'would not touch em?€™- too bad look at the market. This is the change that has happened in the last six months on some of the major players in Korean drug companies (prices in won).
ChoongwaePharm (001060)
21,850 to 39,500
Yuhan (000100)
88,800 to 137,000
DongaPharm (000640)
31,400 to 62,500
KDPharm (011040)
20,800 to 40,300
HanmiPharm (008930)
42,510 to 97,700
KeunwhaPharm (002250)
14,950 to 17,300
KwangdongPharm (009290)
2,605 to 3,590

Put or shut up. If you can?€™t afford 100,000 have your ?€?investor?€™ friends back you up. If they are experts to say they would ?€œnot touch Korean pharmaceuticals?€? then they should see this an easy 100,000.

korean pharmaceuticals-are you serious? i haven't been looking deeply into many pharmaceuticals in korea, but the foreign investors specialized in the industry that i know won't touch 'em here. what is your reason for thinking that they have decent, safe growth potential in korea?

The Korean market is hot ticket and will remain so for some time. Look at a possible increase of 30% of what it is now and realistically 1400 soon.
Pharmaceuticals: All are great.
LS Cable ?€“ Long term growth
And quite a few others out there, yahoo!
