Korean War and U.S. science policy

Someone was kind enough to send me a link to a piece on the early Cold War period (like the Korean War) and the development of U.S. science policy in AAAS’s SCIENCE magazine. It’s a fascinating read — be sure to check it out.

I didn’t read the whole thing yet, but I learned a bit about Vannevar Bush (no relation to Dubya) and his ideas that presaged the World Wide Web, hypertext, and Marmots. Interesting stuff.
