A reader kindly gave me the heads up on the latest issue of The Washington Quarterly, which included:
Inside Multilateralism: The Six-Party Talks by John S. Park
South Korea??s Squeeze Play by Scott Snyder
Japan: U.S. Partner or Focused on Abductees? by David C. Kang
Also linked are some North Korea-related pieces from previous issues that are worth looking at if you haven’t already read them.

john park’s article is clear, concise and has an elegant diagram explicitly showing the levels of interest for various issues facing the six countries. anyone interested in these talks who might not be following them in-depth could glean a pretty accurate understand though this paper. highly recommended for the armchair international relations people on this board.
I have had frequent difficulties connecting to twq.com. I am very eager to read these pieces– could someone email them to me?
