New template is finished — basically, it’s a hacked version of Moshu’s Dark Maple, which in turn is based on Root (wherever he has gone)’s Gemini template. The colors employed are, for the most part, traditional Korean colors, and the banner, of course, is a painting by the great Kim Hong-do.
Personally, I like this template, but fans of the Boseong Green Tea template should rest assured that it will continue to be an option.

Well, frankly I find it a bit difficult to read: charactersare a bit too small, perhaps. Anyway, looks sophisticated. Let’s wait and it see what the masses will say.
The name change this is a definite improvement. I hated having to go to the other page everytime I wanted to change my name. If I’m not mistaken Root abandoned WP for a different program a while back. I don’t remember which right now.
Never mind it just looks like its going to change and then it doesn’t.
While we’re on blogging stuff, it seems Dog Stew is no more. Any idea what happened? Did Sejong and Benny finally talk to actual North Koreans outside of that country and have a songun satori? Did their parents hire a deprogrammer?

Curious — As Joel pointed out in the comments in the other thread, ???????? refers to the Joseon era foreign policy philosophy of “respecting China and expelling the barbarians,” the “barbarians” decidedly big-nose in character after 1866. This is not to be confused with ????????, which means “respect the king and expel the barbarian.” This would correspond to the Japanese “sonnojoi.” Hey, I kinda like that. Might make the change.

Thanks for the reply and the links…although I’m still wondering why exactly you chose this particular phrase. Is it supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek summation of what many perceive to the prevailing climate these days in Korea? (In which case, Baduk would be suitably pleased, I’m sure!)
Dr. Lankov — The font has been enlarged (and linespace decreased), although I’ve left the blockquotes smaller than the post text. Hopefully, it should be easier to read now.
Just go black and white, eliminate all the crap, and start from scratch. Do as you like with the banner. Look at it, bare, then add one thing and ask me if I like it. This? This is no good. This is like a government fillform.
