    Looks nice. Gangwon has a really laid-back feel to it, but compared to Seoul I guess most places in Korea do ;)

    Gangwon Province has some variety–the mountains and the beaches are fine, the seafood is great, and it’s not far from Seoul. The Hyundai Hotel in Gyeongpodae is a good place to use as a base (it’s pricey though).

    Jtb–try http://www.hotelclub.net/ It’s been very reliable for us when we travel to Japan and Europe.
